The museum purchased the Broadway s/n 12386 September 2009 online from Joe Vinikow of archtopcom. According to Joe the instrument came from their repair-expert Lemuel of Lemuel Guitars, Seattle, WA. No further history known. The late John Lambdin made a vintage correct arrow shaped compensating tailpiece (see note below). Archtopcom wrote us:

“In the shop of archtop.com a few old grainline cracks were resealed and brased from underneath. A dusting overspray has been applied to preserve the original sunburst finish. A new vintage-style tortoiseshell pickguard was installed together with new vintage-style Grover tuners.”

The Broadway sn 12386 is played by Ton van Bergeijk in his Truefire guitar lessons : Guitar Gospel lessons
